If you are thinking of joining Thames Valley Police, as a Police Officer, Thames Valley Police hold awareness days / evenings which are designed to assist you in gathering information on police recruitment and will cover the selection process, training, physical fitness and other related issues. It is not compulsory to attend but it may assist you in forming a decision about joining Thames Valley Police.
Job Fairs
Thames Valley Police run a number of these events where you can attend and meet police officers, police community support officers and control room and enquiry department recruiters. These are usually a one or two day event.
Recruitment Road shows
These events are for members of the public to find out more about the job opportunities at Thames Valley Police. Recruiters for Police Officers, Police Community Support Officers (PCSO), Special Constables (SC), Police Enquiry Centres (PECs), Control Room staff and Volunteers will be on hand to talk to you about the various roles. There will also normally be representatives from the Women’s Police Association (WPA), Thames Valley Gay Police Association (TVGPA) Thames Valley Black Police Association (TVBPA) and a Community and Diversity Officer will also normally be at these events.
