Affliliated to the national GPA, TVGPA is run by an elected committee and is governed by its own constitution.

TVGPA was officially launched at Aylesbury College on 21st March 2007, where the executive (on behalf of its members) invited members of the Thames Valley Police, Local Authorities and representatives of local and national LGB & T support and lobby groups.
